During the period 1990-1999, the majority of young people aged between 19 and 24 in 1999 moved to a new home. More than half of these moves occurred within the same département, and most often involved moving to a new district. A quarter of these young people moved with their families. The rest moved independently in order to pursue studies in a bigger town or city, to live with a partner or to take up their first job.
