Describing and analysing regions and territories

The INSEE regional offices advise and inform local public stakeholders, providing customised advice and presentations on the INSEE website.

They carry out studies of general interest at sub-national level. They also work in partnership with government departments, territorial authorities, consultancies and researchers to deal with local issues of general interest : territorial analyses, and notably forecasts. These studies are usually based on statistical methods and tools that are pooled at national level, thus ensuring that analyses can be compared from one region to another.
