Employees were more exposed to workplace risks and hazards in 2003 than they were in 1994. Although long working days have become rarer, and repetitive work is less widespread, organisational constraints have grown, as well as physical hazards. Exposure to biological agents has remained stable, but exposure to chemical products has increased. In all, workplace risks and hazards have increased more for labourers and white-collar workers than for managers and intermediary professions. They have also increased more in the construction and agriculture sectors than in industry and services.
