Looking ahead to retirement for the 1945 to 1975 generations
Sophie Buffeteau, Pascal Godefroy
Retirement conditions change with each generation. Prolonged studies and legislative changes will lead to individuals cashing in their pensions increasingly later in life. The number of people retiring at 65 will rise considerably, particularly amongst more qualified people. However, retiring later in life will not shorten the length of retirement since life expectancy is increasing. The gap between pay and pensions will increase.
