Statistical concepts and definitions

The individual data represent one line per establishment responding to the survey. Most of the variables are qualitative and make it possible to count the establishments that carry out a particular waste prevention or management practice. Some variables are quantitative and are expressed in m³ (volume of waste produced) or in euros (amount spent on waste treatment).
The data published in an Insee Flash are percentages by sector of activity and size of institutions.

Statistical unit

The interrogation unit is the establishment, identified by its SIRET number.

Statistical population

The statistical population is that of active and operating Hauts-de-France establishments (except for establishments in Section O of the administrations where non-operators are also included) with 1 or more employees in the tertiary sector (NACE Sections G to S -- Rev2).
