After a fairly substantial increase in Q3 2023 (+0.5%), household consumption came to a standstill at the end of the year (0.0% in Q4 2023). Purchases of goods again fell dramatically (-0.6% in Q4 after +0.6% in Q3), especially food consumption (-1.1%), which had experienced a slight rebound in the summer after six consecutive quarters in decline.
