More private-sector employees left their company in 2022 than before the health crisis, during which they were more stable. This phenomenon has affected all sectors of activity and all regions. This increased mobility mainly involved moves to other private companies, usually in a different sector. While it affected all categories of employees, it was more marked among the youngest and those initially on permanent contracts. In particular, among employees who resigned from a permanent contract, the proportion who returned to the private sector one year later increased.
