In Q1 2022, the unemployment rate according to the ILO definition remained almost unchanged compared to the previous quarter: –0.1 points, to 7.3% of the active population. After a drop of 0.6 points in the previous quarter, this near-stability was the result of accompanying increases in the labour force (+122,000 as a quarterly average, after +21,000 in Q4 2021) and employment (+140,000, after +206,000).
