SIDE is also used to produce the structural business demography statistics required under the EBS regulation, which are transmitted to Eurostat.

These statistics include: the number of enterprises that are active during the year; the number of employer enterprises; enterprise "births"; enterprise "deaths"; survival rates at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 years, as well as statistics on high-growth enterprises and young, high-growth enterprises. Most of these statistics are available at regional level.
