The survey is conducted by post and net. The questionnaire is sent and is available on Insee.fr during the first half of the year.

The survey is conducted exhaustively on all the enterprises that are or have been members of the French Association of Financial Enterprises (ASF): equipment financial leasing and leasing with purchase option, property financial leasing and energy financing enterprises (Sofergie).
Comparison with the file of the Banque de France improves the exhaustive coverage of the survey.
The questionnaire is therefore sent to all enterprises having financial leasing activities. There are about 130 of them.
