At national level, under the provisions of the law on statistics ("amended Law of 7 June 1951 on Obligation, Coordination and Secrecy in Statistical Matters"), and on data processing and the right to privacy ("Law of 6 January 1978 on Information Technology, Files and Civil Liberties") INSEE cannot publish statistics that could allow the identification of the data for any natural person or entity, or make them available to an individual or an organisation by any other means.
