For each gendarme, the individual data contained in CSA_G comprises two parts:
- a human resources section: it contains the grade, step, scale and family situation, etc.
- a remuneration section : it contains the new increased index, bonuses and contributions, etc.

The main nomenclatures used concern:
- for the human resources component : military grades;
- for the remuneration component: the components of remuneration (aggregates of bonuses and contributions).

Defence sector

The concepts used to describe the workforce are the physical workforce, the workforce present on 31/12 of the year in question, the workforce in full-time equivalents (FTEW). The concepts used to describe salaries are winsorised gross and net salaries (i.e. control of the influence of atypical units).

A gendarme

All military personnel managed by the Ministry of the Interior (including gendarmes charged to the budgetary programme of other ministries: Foreign Affairs, Overseas France, etc.) whether they are posted in France or abroad.

The CSA_G is available since the 2019 vintage.
