The Observation and Statistics Service (SOeS) now includes:
- The Energy Observatory
- French Environment Institute (IFEN)
- Office of Economics, Statistics and Forecasting (SESP).

Attached to the General Commission for Sustainable Development, the SOeS has been providing statistical services for the environment, energy, construction, housing and transport fields since 10 July 2008.
