the company may receive a paper questionnaire.
In 2016, 95% of respondents chose the Internet response.
Two surveys were conducted in 2011 and 2016.
Data collection period
From june to october 2016.
Collection mode
- By post mail
- By Internet
Survey unit
Legal unit
Sampling method
11,000 legal units surveyed.
Those with 500 or more employees are surveyed exhaustively, i.e. 2,158 out of a total
sample of 11,000 units.
The strata are established according to the main activity carried out (division) by
the company, its size (4 employee groups), its membership of a group and its region.
The allocation in the non-exhaustive strata is the average of an allocation proportional
to the number of legal units in the stratum and an allocation proportional to the
number of legal units performing CSR acts measured by the 2011 survey.
Sample size
11,009 units
Data validation
At the time of collection, three types of controls were carried out, covering:
- partial non-response;
- internal consistency (filtered/filtered question);
- internal likelihood (size of the company/response, answer between questions from
different blocks).
A data clearance is carried out to ensure internal consistency.
During the adjustments, it is verified that the different re-weighting phases do not
change the weights too much, that all partial non-response of the respondents in the
field is corrected and that the correction of partial non-response is not added illogical
between the filtered and filtered questions.
Precision calculations have been made to measure the quality of the indicators.
Data compilation
A document describing the individual data file and the processing operations that have been carried out is available to persons having access to the data.
The document "MET_ENQ_ENDD.pdf" is a summary of the operations.
