Punctual or aperiodic

In order to understand and compare demographic behaviour over several years, the survey has been conducted in 3 successive waves, on the same sample, in 2005, 2008 and 2011.

Following the send-out of an advice letter featuring a survey presentation leaflet, the responses are collected face to face by the researchers using Capi (computer-assisted collection).

Individual

For the first wave of the survey (2005) the address lists for this sample were selected from the master sample of the 1999 population census (RP) and the new housing sampling frame.

For the second wave in 2008, the sample consisted of the people surveyed in 2005 who accepted to be surveyed for the following two waves residing in Metropolitan France (approximately 8,500 people).
