The aim of the survey is to follow the attitude of French tourists and the associated consumption of tourism.

It is used by the Banque de France to establish the travel line of the Balance of Payments.

It is used to estimate the tourism satellite account prepared by INSEE. It is also of interest to various government departments at both national and local levels, as well as to tourism professionals.
