The collection, conducted by internet since 2012 (or by paper questionnaire on request),
is launched in the first quarter of the year in question.
The survey covers the whole of France (geography at the time of collection).

Sampling method
The sampling base is the SIRENE register (Computer system for the National Register of Enterprises and their Establishments).
The sample is stratified by business sector and by size and, since 2012, by turnover. Depending on the survey year, approximately 12,500 businesses are surveyed.
For ICT 2013, an extra sample (1,000 businesses) was added.
