Using the January 2009 index, the series are calculated in the "NA" aggregated classification, based on the NAF rev. 2, which came into force on 1st January 2008.

It allows improved monitoring of the service sector and facilitates international comparisons.

The Business Start-Up Index covers the following sectors:

• Industry (BE)

• Construction (FZ)

• Commerce, transport, accommodation and catering (GI)

• Information and communication (JZ)

• Financial activities (KZ)

• Real estate activities (LZ)

• Service activities (MN)

• Teaching, health and social services (OQ)

• Other service activities (RU).

Until the December 2008 indicators, the series were published in the Summary Economic Classification (NES) associated with the NAF rev. 1.
