Définition
Catches are quantities of fish, crustaceans, molluscs and algae fished by ships and kept on board. They are expressed in "live weight" equivalent. Some ships store their catch as it is, while others convert their fished products on board (evisceration or freezing for example).
Remarque
The quantities evaluated in this way do not include discards.
The live-weight equivalent corresponds to the weight of the fish as fished and not processed.
