Population and housing census: geo referenced data

This project is part of the “Temporary statistical action” enacted in parallel with the European Regulation on the 2021 census and which provides for the provision of population data broken down into 1 km² squares. The project consists of two components:
- developing a geolocation method for the census data;
- establishing robust estimations at a detailed geographic level (the squares) based on the annual census surveys, with potential use of auxiliary data.
The planned activities are grouped in 2 work packages, linked to specific objectives, deadlines and results:
- Work package 1: Geolocating census results for small municipalities;
- Work package 2: Estimation of data squared.
