The Third European Peer Review 2021
With the adoption of the Code of Practice, the Ouvrir dans un nouvel ongletEuropean Statistical System has firmly committed to adhering to all its principles and to regularly assessing
their effective implementation. Indeed the peer review process supports with credible
evidence this self-commitment to adhere to the Code. All National Statistical Institutes,
other national authorities producing European statistics, as well as the European
Statistical Agency (Eurostat) periodically undergo dedicated peer reviews.
The reports of these reviews are widely made available on Eurostat’s website.
Who participated in the 2021 Peer Review in France?
INSEE, 10 Ministerial Statistical Offices and two entities from outside of the Official Statistical Service are included in the scope of the 2021 French review.
The 4 Phases of the 2021 Review
The 4 phases give rise to specific peer recommendations, which contribute to the development of a related action plan, with the aim of further improving quality within the Official Statistical Service.
Schedule
France will be the first Member State to be reviewed, with a peer visit due to take place between 28 June and 2 July 2021.
Objectives and methodology of the review
The objectives and methodology of the 3rd review were set by Eurostat and validated by the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC).
