Methodology of the annual accounts
The main revisions to the annual national accounts published on May 29, 2026, compared with the previous year's publication (May 28, 2025) and the latest publication of quarterly accounts (first estimate for the first quarter of 2026, published on April 30, 2026) are summarized in this note (in French).
Since May 31, 2024, INSEE has been publishing the national accounts in base 2020. All the changes brought about by this change of base are described in the file "Les comptes passent en base 2020 (in French)", which refers to methodological sheets providing additional information on specific points of national accounting.
