In November 2024, output in services rebounded (+0.9%) after a slight decline in October (‑0.2%).

Over a month, output in services was up in almost all sectors
In November 2024*, output rebounded in professional, scientific and technical activities (+2.0% after ‑0.5%), information-communication (+1.2% after ‑0.4%) and transportation and storage (+0.5% after ‑0.2%). It accelerated in administrative and support service activities (+0.6% after +0.3%) and in accommodation and food service activities (+0.5% after +0.2%). On the contrary, output was down again in real estate activities (‑0.4% after ‑0.2%) and fell back in arts, entertainment and recreation** (‑0.6% after +0.1 %).

From September to November 2024, output in services was up by 3.9% compared to the same period a year earlier
Cumulated output for the last three months (September to November 2024) was 3.9% higher than that of the same months a year earlier. This increase was mainly driven by professional, scientific and technical activities (+5.9%), information-communication (+4.1%) and arts, entertainment and recreation** (+6.0%). Output also increased over a year in transportation and storage (+3.3%), administrative and support service activities (+2.5%), accommodation and food service activities (+2.3%) and real estate activities (+2.3%).
Revisions
The monthly change in the services production index in October 2024 has been left unchanged at ‑0.2% (after rounding), compared to the previous release.
