In Q3 2024, the house prices of metropolitan France stabilized (provisional seasonally-adjusted data), after six consecutive quarters of decline (-0.5% in Q2 2024 and -1.4% in Q1 2024). Prices of second-hand dwellings remained virtually stable (-0.1% after -0.5% in Q2 2024) and those of new dwellings rebounded (+0.7%, after -0.4%).

In Q3 house prices were stable

In Q3 2024, the house prices of metropolitan France stabilized (provisional seasonally-adjusted data), after six consecutive quarters of decline (-0.5% in Q2 2024 and -1.4% in Q1 2024). Prices of second-hand dwellings remained virtually stable (-0.1% after -0.5% in Q2 2024) and those of new dwellings rebounded (+0.7%, after -0.4%).

Year-on-year house prices continued to decline

Year on year, house prices went down by -3.5%, after -4.6% in Q2 2024. This decline was mainly driven by prices of second-hand dwellings (-3.9% after -4.9%). Prices of new dwellings fell at a slower pace (-0.5% after -1.5%).
