Insee PremièreUse of information and communication technologies by compagnies in 2023 Customer data were the most widely analysed by French companies

Hugo Camille (Insee)

In 2023, 34% of French companies with 10 or more employees reported analysing data, most often internally (29%). Customer data, i.e. data coming from transaction records (21%) and customer profile data (14%), were the most frequently analysed. The proportion of companies analysing data internally in France was similar to the European average, whatever the size of the company. However, French companies were less likely to exploit data coming from the Internet or scientific and technical data.

One French company in four shared data with suppliers or customers within the supply chain. Nearly half of French companies used enterprise resource planning softwares enabling data to be shared within the company. The use of customer relationship management softwares and business intelligence software was less widespread.
