  • 01/01/2016 – Vihiers devient commune déléguée (chef-lieu) au sein de Lys-Haut-Layon (49373) (commune nouvelle).
  • 01/01/2016 – Création de la commune nouvelle de Lys-Haut-Layon en lieu et place des communes des Cerqueux-sous-Passavant (49059), de La Fosse-de-Tigné (49142), de Nueil-sur-Layon (49232), de Tancoigné (49342), de Tigné (49348), de Trémont (49356) et de Vihiers (49373).
