The prices of industrial kept rising
In July 2021, the prices of industrial raw materials increased at the same rate (+2.6%, as in June). Mineral materials prices accelerated (+2.7% after +1.7%) under the effect of the prices of non ferrous metals (+3,7% after +0.4%). At the same time, prices of ferrous metals eased again (+2.0% after +3.9% in June and +13.9% in May) and precious metals prices decreased slightly (−0.5% after −0.8%).
On the other hand, the prices of agricultural raw materials decelerated (+2.3% after +6.9%), mainly because of a much slower increase in hide prices (+3.1% after +33.8%). The prices of natural textile fibres continued to rise on a high base (+4.3% after +3.9%), while natural rubber prices recovered (+1.7% after −1.9%). Finally, tropical wood prices didn’t evolve much (+0.3% after +0.5%).
