In November 2019, the turnover recovered in the manufacturing industry (+0.4% after −0.6% in October). It also rebounded in industry as a whole (+1.0% after −1.0%).
Export turnover declined in November (−1.3% after +1.7%).

Over the last three months (September to November), the turnover was stable in the manufacturing industry and virtually stable in industry as a whole (+0.1%), compared to the previous three months. Within manufacturing, the turnover fell strongly in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (−4.1%) and more moderately in the manufacture of transport equipment (−0.8%) and in the manufacture of machinery and equipment goods (−0.7%). It went up slightly in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.3%) and also grew in “other manufacturing” (+1.0%).

Increase compared to the previous year (+1.2%)
The turnover over the last three months grew by 1.2% compared to the same three months of the previous year in the manufacturing industry. It also increased in industry as a whole (+0.9%). Within manufacturing, the turnover rose strongly in the manufacture of transport equipment (+6.9%). It also grew in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+2.7%) and more sligthly in “other manufacturing” (+0.7%) and in the manufacture of machinery and equipment goods (+0.5%). By contrast, it went down in mining and quarrying; energy; water supply; waste management (−0.5%) and slumped in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (−16.0%).

Export sales of transport equipment fell back sharply (−4.9% after +7.5% in October).
Sharp rebound in coke and refined petroleum products (+3.5%)
The turnover in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products rebounded in November (+3.5% after −3.7% in October).
Rebound in food products and beverages (+0.6%)
Virtual stability in machinery and equipment goods (−0.1%)
The turnover in machinery and equipment goods was virtually stable in November (−0.1% after +0.3% in October). It declined in the manufacture of electrical equipment (−2.9% after +1.4%) and in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (−0.4% after +1.1%) and recovered in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (+1.7% after −0.7%).
Slight fall in “other manufacturing” (−0.3%)
In November, the turnover in “other manufacturing” fell slightly (−0.3% after −0.2%). It kept decreasing in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (−1.3% after -0.4%) and fell back in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations (−1.9% after +2.1%) and in the manufacture of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (−0.9% after +1.9%). It was virtually stable in other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (−0.1% after −0.2%) and was stable in the manufacture of rubber and plastics products and other non−metallic mineral products (after −0.7% in October). Finally, it recovered slightly in the manufacture of wood and paper products; printing and reproduction of recorded media (+0.2% after −1.0%) and rebounded more sharply in the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products (+0.9% after −0.4%).
