In August, output diminished in “other manufacturing” (−1.0% after +0.7%)
Output fell markedly in pharmaceuticals (−7.0% after +6.6%) and in manufacturing of textiles, wearing apparel, leather and related products (−7.1% after −1.7%). It decreased more moderately in other manufacturing, repair and installation of machinery and equipment (−0.7% after +2.1%), in manufacturing of rubber and plastics products, and other non-metallic mineral products (−0.4% after +0.6%), in chemicals (−0.2% after −1.9%) and in the manufacture of wood, paper and printing industries (−0.2% after −2.4%). Conversely, it improved in the manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products (+1.8% after −0.1%).
Output declined in machinery and equipment goods (−2.2% after −0.1%)
Output fell in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (−4.1% after a virtual stability) and in the manufacture of electrical equipment (−2.5% after −0.1%) while it was virtually stable in the manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. (after −0.4%).
Output decreased in mining and quarrying, energy, water supply (−1.4% after +0.1%)
Output decreased in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (−0.9% after −0.4%).
Output increased in the manufacture of transport equipment (+0.5% after +0.7%)
Output grew again in the manufacture of “other transport equipment” (+1.7% after +2.7%), while it went down in the manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi−trailers (−1.0% after −1.9%).
Output was virtually stable in the manufacture of food products and beverages (+0.1% after −1.1%)
The increase in the manufacture of other food products and in the processing and preserving of meat and production of meat products offset the decline in the manufacture of beverages.
Output kept growing in petroleum and refined products (+1.5% after +5.7%)
Output kept growing in petroleum and refined products because of the return to a normal service of all refinery.
