Seven out of ten employees go to work by car

To get to work, employees mainly use their cars. At the départemental level, this mean of transport is only supplanted by public transport in the capital and its neighbouring départements. In 2015, half of employees living and working in the same municipality went to work by car. This proportion increased to eight out of ten employees for those working outside the municipality where they live. Junior managers and employees use their cars less than other socio-professional categories.
