Public finances in 2018 National accounts - 2014 Base
The "Public finances" item introduces the leading indicators published by Insee relating to the general government accounts. It aims at satisfying the growing interest of a large audience for information on this topic (political decision makers, international organizations...). Its implementation follows the recommendations of the IMF formulated in a quality audit run in 2003.

In addition to the publication on May 29, 2019, the update on February 25, 2020 concerns the updating data of tables 3.301-3.307. Government expenditure broken down by function was Ouvrir dans un nouvel ongletpublished at European level on 21 February 2020 by Eurostat. Also, the data available on Insee.fr have been slightly revised to take into account the Eurostat methodological recommendations formulated during this publication.
