Trade activity accelerated in 2015, after resuming the year before. This is driven by an increase in business investment and consumption acceleration benefiting from a significant increase in purchasing power. 2015 was particularly favorable to trade and repair of automobiles, whose activity grew strongly (+3.8%). Sales also increased in volume in wholesale trade (+1.3%) and retail trade (+1.8%). In value terms, sales nevertheless fold in both sectors due to longlasting lower prices.
