Market services in 2016: More robust growth
In 2016, the value added of non-financial market services grows by 1.9% in volume, compared with +1.3% in 2015 and 2014. Corporate and government demand, routine purchases and investments, remains strong (+2.5% in volume vs. +3.3% in 2015), and household consumption of services picks up pace (+1.7%, vs. +0.9%). IT services remain one of the most dynamic sectors, and the hospitality sector gains momentum. Employment continues to expand, with gains of 157,000 full-time equivalent jobs (+2.2% vs. +1.0% in 2015). The foreign trade deficit continues to grow.
