Market services in 2014 Report for market services accounts committee
In 2014, non financial market services represent 33 % of the value added of french economy. The volume of their value added increases by 0.6%, after +0.7% in 2013 and +0.9% in 2012. Demand from businesses and administrations strengthen, particularly for investment (+0.5 %, after -0.5 % in 2013), especially investment in computer service activities. Telecommunications activities stay the more dynamics (+3.9%). By contrast, the growth of household consumption slows down (+0.7%, after +0.9% in 2013). So, leisure and cultural activities still suffer. Employment slightly increases (0.4%), with a gain of 52.000 jobs in full-time equivalent. Market services foreign trade deficit widens.
