Internet use by companies in 2013: social media use in the minority
In 2013, among companies of at least 10 people established in France, two in ten have a social media account or profile, usually a social network, against three in ten in Europe. Social media usage is a way for companies to be more visible on internet. The most frequently mentioned objective is to promote the image or products of the company, but interaction with clients or partners is also often mentioned. Two companies in three of at least 10 people have a website or internet home page. In all sectors of activity, the most important use is the supply of catalogues and price lists. But in accommodation-catering and in commerce, online orders or bookings are also very frequent.
