Wages in local civil services - In 2012, wages dropped by 0.5% in constant euros
In 2012, the net average wage of a person employed in local civil services was 1,848 euros as a full time equivalent. Between 2011 and 2012, the net average wage increased by 1.4% in constant euros. Taking account of inflation (+ 2.0% in 2012), the net wage dropped by 0.5% in constant euros compared to 2011. With a drop of 0.6% for incumbents, it remained stable for the other employees. In 2012, the net median wage was 1,659 euros a month, 10% below the net average wage, with a drop of 0.5% in constant euros between 2011 and 2012. For people present in 2011 and 2012 with the same employer and with an identical work quota, the net average wage increased by 0.4% in constant euros.
