Concerning the expansion to include overseas departments (DOM), two specific questionnaires were introduced: one for the three DOM in the French Antilles and one for Reunion Island.

This provides a statistical observation of tourism across the entire French territory.

This survey falls within the scope of European reglement 692/2011 on the collection of statistical information in the field of tourism in Eurostat.

It also meets the needs of the national department of tourism and of local and regional actors and decision-makers in the field of tourism.
