- The amount of energy purchased and consumed, distributed by types of energy (electricity, fuel and steam). The energy consumptions are detailed according to the use, a particular purpose being the generation of electricity.
- The amounts spent for environmental protection distributed by type of expenditure (studies, investments, operating expenses, maintenance and repair of equipment, fees, contributions or taxes). These expenditures are broken down by area (limiting greenhouse gas emissions, air protection, waste water, non-radioactive wastes and other types of wastes).

The scope of the survey covers establishments with 1 to 19 employees within the industry sector excluding the energy industry sector (but including recovery) and excluding commercial crafts: It actually covers sections B and C of the NAF rev. 2 off 05, 06, 091, 10.13B, 10.71B, 10.71C, 10.71D, 19, 20.13A, 24.46Z.

The sample is of the order of 10 500 units.
