Définition
The “University Bachelor of Technology”, named in French “Bachelor Universitaire de Technologie ” (BUT), is a three-year post-secondary national university diploma (level 6 of the national framework for professional qualifications). Access to its preparation is dependent upon obtaining the baccalaureate degree or a degree deemed equivalent. This professionalizing and generalist training aims to both lead to immediate professional integration and to allow the continuation of higher education.
Remarque
This degree was introduced at the start of the 2021 academic year. The pre-existing diploma in technological studies (named in french “diplôme universitaire de technologie”, DUT) then became an intermediate degree which corresponds to the validation of the second year of the BUT.
