New vehicle registrations come from the statistical register of road vehicles (Rsvero) which lists road vehicles register on French territory (including overseas departments). Provisional registrations of new vehicles and vehicles in temporary transit are not counted.
The register is fed by informations from the vehicle registration system transmitted by the Ministry of the interior.
Remarque
The Data and Statistical Studies Department of the Ministry of Ecological Transition publishes the registrations of new vehicles.
