Définition
This state-funded allowance is paid on a means-tested basis for renewable six-month periods to people who have exhausted their unemployment insurance entitlements, or who are at least 50 years old and opt to receive ASS rather than ARE, provided they are actually looking for work and have five years' paid employment in the ten years preceding the end of their employment contract.
