Définition

The purpose of the single electoral register is to manage the electoral process and makethe voters' lists more reliable. It allows the continuous updating of the electoral lists on the initiative of either the municipalities that register and strike off voters or Insee on the basis of information provided by various administrations. The single electoral register management system allows the drawing up and extraction of electoral lists, images from the register on a given date.

The single electoral register is established by Act No. 2016-1048 of 1 August 2016, which entrusts its management to Insee.
