Définition

The producer costs for construction are used essentially to monitor the evolutions of production costs in the construction field. They detail them by sub sectors (construction of buildings, renovation of existing buildings, civil engineering,...) and by types of costs (labour, materials, energy,.…).

The producer cost indices for construction cover the entire sector of construction (residential and non-residential buildings, civil engineering,...).

Remarque

The producer prices for construction are estimated according to a similar scheme used to estimate the indices in the construction of buildings and public works, but they are only used for a statistical purpose (not for indexation of contracts).
