Household (national accounts)

Individuals or groups of individuals considered in terms of their function as consumers or, where applicable, as entrepreneurs producing market goods or financial and non-financial market services.

Households are one of the six institutional sectors. The others are: non-financial enterprises, financial enterprises (SF), public administrations (APU), non-profit institutions serving households (NPISH) and the rest.
