The notion of agricultural employment includesall persons who work, full-time or part-time, on an agricultural holding, as defined by the Statistics and Forecasting Department at the Ministry of Agriculture.
The "permanent population" includes far managers and co-managers (considered as contributing at least in terms of management), home helps (family members of farm managers) and permanent employees (not family members of farm managers, who perform regular work throughout the year, regardless of length of time). The non-permanent population includes seasonal and casual employees.
