Définition

A judge of the court of first instance, specialised in juvenile affairs in civil cases (minors in danger) and criminal cases (juvenile delinquents). They take assistance and protection measures for minors up to 18 years of age. In criminal matters, the juvenile affairs judge is both examining magistrate and sentencing judge, acting either alone or as president of the juvenile court.
