Définition

Under the terms of the 17 January 1975 law, renewed on 23 November 1979, any woman residing in France for at least six months can, at her request and by following a precise procedure, terminate a pregnancy whose duration is less than twelve weeks (this legal duration was ten weeks before 2001). A pregnancy termination must be the subject of a declaration prepared by the doctor and sent by the establishment where it is performed to the regional health inspector doctor.

Remarque

These declarations, statutory, are made with a " statistical bulletin of voluntary interruption of the pregnancy".
