Définition

A court with a single judge in charge of settling civil cases concerning sums up to 7,600 euros, as well as certain disputes defined by law, irrespective of the amount at stake: residential leases, payment order procedures, protection of persons (guardianship), etc. When the court rules on criminal matters, it is called the police court.
