Définition

The contract "de professionnalisation" is an employment contract, which enables young persons, aged 16 to 25, job seekers aged 26 and over as well as recipients of some allowances or contracts to acquire a professional qualification or to complete the initial training by a work-study training.

The contract “de professionnalisation” can be fixed term contract or permanent contract. It enables young persons aged 16 to 25, job seekers aged 26 and over as well as recipients of the active solidarity income (RSA), the special solidarity allowance, the allowance for disabled adults, or recipients of a single integration contract to acquire a professional qualification according to the needs identified by sectors, based on work-study contract.

This professional qualification obtained may be a diploma, a degree, or a recognized qualification.


Salary depends on age and level of education at entry. Employers may benefit from financial aid, depending on the case.

The contract “de professionnalisation” replaced the contract “de qualification”, “d’adaptation” and “d’orientation” since 2004.
