The curve of energy consumption in industry (to the exclusion of fuels) was flat in 2013, after an 18% drop between 2005 and 2012. This mirrors the production trend in the manufacturing industries. There has been no increase in the energy bill (-1.3% in constant euros within a constant field) with a drop in the prices of coal or petroleum products. The consumption of raw energy stands at 35.6 million tons of oil equivalent (TOE) and the energy bill at 15.9 billion euros. Electricity and gas are the forms of energy most widely used.
